Ancient Caithness Tour – Some of the oldest castles in Scotland dating from the 1100’s can be found in Caithness, often perched high above the sea on narrow rock promontories. There are also more broch sites dating from the iron-age (c 700 BC to around AD 500) in Caithness than anywhere else in Scotland, and there is an abundance of neolithic cairns, standing stones and stone circles.
Half-day tours of Ancient Caithness visit a selection of archaeological sites around Caithness. A half-day Tour lasting approximately four hours costs from £60 per person (minimum of two people).
