Puffins Nesting in Caithness
July 2015 – The pufflings are almost fully grown and ready to leave their burrows so it won’t be long before the puffins head back to sea after another successful breeding season in the far north. Only a 20 minute walk from the car (with a longer walk option if preferred), a tour to the Caithness puffin colony in spring and summer provides amazing opportunities to watch puffins going about their puffin business.
“Just came back from a great 3 hour puffin tour. Philip was a great guide. He even brought binoculars for us. And yes we watched hundreds of puffins very closely. Great views of the magnificent coastline included.” Harald, visiting from Germany.
